Is there really no credit card required for the trial?
No credit card, no payment details, no commitment. Sign up and get full access to DocsCheck for 14 days. At the end of your trial, choose a plan or your account moves to read-only mode — nothing is deleted.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account moves to read-only mode — you can view all your existing cases, documents, and letters, but cannot add new clients or upload documents. Upgrade to any plan to resume full access. Nothing is deleted.
What counts as a "check" or a "case" against my plan limits?
A case is a single client file you create in DocsCheck. An AI document check is one AI analysis of one uploaded document. The Starter trial includes up to 5 client cases and 20 AI document checks; paid plans raise these limits. Re-checking the same document after the client re-uploads a corrected version counts as a new check.
Can I change plans, and how does cancellation work?
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Plans are billed monthly or annually with no minimum term — you can cancel before your next renewal date and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Are the prices shown inclusive of VAT?
Prices shown on this page are the headline subscription prices. UK VAT, where it applies, is calculated and shown at checkout and on your Stripe invoice in line with current HMRC rules. If you have a specific VAT or invoicing question for your firm, contact hello@docscheck.co.uk.
Who owns the data I put into DocsCheck, and how long is it kept?
Your firm remains the data controller for all client data you upload; DocsCheck acts as your data processor under a written UK GDPR Article 28 agreement. Your data is never shared between organisations and is not used to train third-party AI models. You can export or request deletion of your data, and retention follows the terms set out in our Data Processing Agreement.
How is my data stored and protected, and where is it held?
Documents are stored on Google Cloud Storage with per-organisation data isolation, so no data is shared between firms. Security includes two-factor authentication, session-based access controls, rate-limited login endpoints, and a full audit log. Processing is carried out in line with UK GDPR. Is DocsCheck suitable for OISC/IAA-regulated advisers and SRA solicitors?
Yes. DocsCheck is a document-checking and case-management tool built for both SRA-regulated solicitors and advisers regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA, formerly the OISC). It supports document preparation and risk awareness only — it is not regulated immigration advice and not legal advice. All professional judgements and decisions remain your responsibility as the instructed adviser. See our OISC/IAA compliance page for more detail.
Do you offer discounts for smaller firms or charities?
We do consider discounts for registered charities, non-profits, and law clinics providing free immigration advice. Contact us at [email protected] with details of your organisation.
What support is included?
